This may be trivial, but it bothers me a bit. So, generally we use Snipping Tool to screenshot (Win + Shift + S) but for me it takes a long time and we miss moments that can be captured while watching videos, I use a laptop and on the default keyboard there is a PrtScr button, by pressing Win + PrtScr it instantly and quickly takes a screenshot.
I've been unable to figure out how to take a screenshot after upgrading to Windows 10. Before I upgraded I used to be able to press the Windows button and the Volume down button at the same time, but in 10 it just switches me back to the start screen.
When I press the 'Prt Scr' button, the screen turns grey, and a new little box appears on the top with a picture/video option, but neither of them is giving me a 'Screenshot' option. It looks like Windows 11 is forcing users to use some kind of a snipping tool and removed the option for Screenshots completely.

To set this up, click the OneDrive icon in the taskbar > More > Settings > Backup > under Screenshot, put a check mark on Automatically save screenshot I capture to OneDrive. Hi, on the early 'Windows 10 built-in video player app' 'Movies & TV', I can take a screenshot from the opening video by clicking 'the pencil icon on the right' button and click 'Save photo from video' but in the new/next 'Media Player' app I've found there is no option to do such thing.
Hi, I used to always take screenshots with the shortcut windows+PrtScn but now the shortcut isn't working. I tried also using windows+shift+s to take a screenshot of part of the screen it worked like normal except when I selected an area it didn't take a screenshot.

The default format cannot be changed as far as I know. You would have to use a 3rd party screenshot program. A couple free ones are GreenShot and WinSnap.
