The Internet Archive hosts our audio files for free -- although you can make donations to them, mentioning LibriVox, which they manage for us. In February 2010, we held a limited-time, fixed-amount funding drive as our hosting and development costs were growing just too large to be handled by donation of time and resources.

All our files are in the public domain, which means we relinquish all rights to the files. So anyone may use them for any purpose, including commercial uses, such as selling on ebay. We do prefer that people acknowledge that these are LibriVox files, but we can't and don't enforce that (public domain means people don't have to acknowledge us).
I'm passionate about computers and wrote "Give Your Voice" a software dedicated to voice recording and producing MP3 for LibriVox and LitteratureAudio.com (a french equivalent of LibriVox). It's free and the code is open source (GPLv3). At this time, it work for Windows 64b and Linux 64b (tested under Windows 10 and Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS).
