For the record, only X-Plane's live weather is supposed to work. If you use any kind of custom weather or a weather plugin, this wasn't ever supported in AviTab. According to Discord, the live weather service was down over the weekend. Maybe try again and see if live weather is enabled successfully? Edited September 4, 2023 by Folko
Hi there, Flying the 777 has been great, and the system depth and features are stunning. However, I have not been able to find much on weather radar usage in the FCOM or Cockpit Manual, simply just an overview of certain returns and what each switch does.
Well, the historical weather changes over time and also from one point to another, preset weather is just preset. Stopping simulation say every 30 min to reset weather doesn't sound very attractive. Also replicating real weather will take extra time, even with prepared notes, I am very sure it will be much less accurate.

Weather radar is working to the extent of the weather API of X-Plane 12 - Keep in mind that XP12 is still in very early stages of development and many fixes and feature upgrades are coming. First of is a new wind and icing update. Also, weather radar pics up moisture not physicle form of clouds which strangely many think.
Currently using NOAA weather for live weather, X.P- E n h a n c e R v3.1 addon by pzorglub on the org works great with these addons, clouds look beautiful, real weather is downloaded frequently and much closer to real life than the default xplane11 live weather, and the script "SmoothWeather_plain.lua" seems to work flawlessly with this
