In the 'Intel Graphics Command Center' I've enjoyed the convenience of using hotkey sequences like "ctrl+alt+left-arrow" or "ctrl+alt+up-arrow" to quickly rotate my monitor screen from landscape to portrait and then back again in a flash. First, the "software" issue, where the IGCC could not "see" the display/could not show any information about the connected display. This issue has been fixed by the latest driver update (31.0.101.5074). Second, the "hardware" issue, where the display, when connected via Displayport, does not show the Bios/UEFI screen (HDMI works).
