Not sure on card. I believe so as it would prove you have made purchases pre-scam on the account that would mark you as the original user, but it wouldn't cover you if they try the "they stole the money from me" line. I think there's something in the terms and conditions about use of Steam gift card codes by people who didn't purchase them.
You get codes from the back of the gift card. There is no other way to get a code. People selling "codes" on the internet purchased a gift card and are selling the code from the back of it. Though there are stores that print a code onto a receipt, these are still considered "gift cards". So wallet code and gift card are same?
