I am talking to Lechler which is an Italian paint manufacturer so there is hope. The problem is that in the 1960s small volume motor manufacturers used Thermoplastic acrylic which was high in solvents.

Very Interesting 3DE !!! We produce some new body for GTO , LM , Spider California , made from our handcrafter with 35 years experiences in Carrozzera Scaglietti. Some time we produce the mould some time we made completly by hand . I know lasercan , clean all surface is not easy !! pic of 250 Spider California LWB.
As far as value goes, a 250 GTO and a McLaren F1 are nowhere close. The F1 will be around 12-15 Million. The GTO, easily double this amount. If you compare the McLaren to Ferraris of the same era, then the McLaren will easily hold it's own.
