If I do the reboot way, deeper, then I know nothing was missed, so isn't that better? The"online" scan is faster. I'll do the online scan anyway, if it solves this issue, fine. If not,I'll try the deeper one and the SFC scan. I will do the scans as administrator. Will let you know the results, possibly not until tomorrow morning.
The scanners I had did not allow scanning directly to SharePoint. The method I used to solve the issue was using Scan to Email and 365's Power Automate and created a workflow as follows: Scanners. 1) Add the email address that 365 will be monitoring to the address book. Can you solve this problem as I cannot perform a "Windows Defender Offline Scan" in my Windows 10 pc. When I click on "Settings > Update and Security > Windows Security > Virus and threat protection > Scan Options > Microsoft Defender Offline Scan > Then I click on Yes but the Scan did not start , even it did not restart my pc to start the scan.

The offline scan initiates, but it never reaches 100%. At around 94%, the scan appears to end and the computer turns on. When I go to Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Current Threats, there is no record of the offline scan and so there are no scan results. What's going on? My Surface Laptop 5 is new. I can run "Dism /online /Cleanup-Image /?" and it will return the appropriate help info, but when ran without it cannot find the option. When i try "sfc /scannow" it returns Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service.
