"Download Failed" errors continually popping up. Restarting Vortex will occasionally fix this problem, but it is recurring. using Vortex 1.1.5 on Windows 10, modding Skyrim SE. I have not tested to see if the same error occurs for other games.
Doing manual downloads, then transferring the files to Vortex works, but downloading from Nexus itself just fails the download almost immediately... However temporary this issue may be, I just hope that it can be resolved soon.
I had to download a large collection three times due to issues with a new-build pc, and the third request was denied with the error code 429. I didn't know downloads were capped, even for premium users; I pay for a subscription to avoid having to sit for hours downloading 1300 mods by hand.
Try logging out and back into Vortex. If that doesn't work something in your setup is causing it to fail.
If this Workaround is successful then it means something is wrong with your permissions settings in C:\Program Files\ that isn't allowing Vortex to access the .NET 6 files. You can check the folder properties and "Security" tab to see if the following entries are missing:

Installed vortex yesterda and downloaded a collection for Skyrim SE. But when downloading the mods of the collection I got said error. Since then no matter what mod I download, I get a 403 response. Manual downloading works though. Logging out and back in did not work either. Important aide-note, though, I installed vortex on my Steam Deck.
when downloading mods on to vortex from nexusmods, the download does not complete and this error message pops up. You don't need to use Vortex to download mods. Download those big mods manually, then drag them to the Vortex mod window drop area.
Are you using the updated Vortex v. 0.18.5? If so, then roll back to your previous version. There are a number of reports in this forum about problems with the Vortex update. The solution that seems to work best is to roll back. Simply install your previous version over the current version rather than uninstalling it.
