Hello, My Senior has 6 AP scores and they are not so great (3s and 4s). But they are good enough to receive the AP scholar with distinction award. On UC Berkeley admission site, it states that they look at applicants’ AP scores for their admission decision. My S is thinking not to report the scores. The UC’s consider 13 areas of criteria in their application review and which includes: Number of, content of and performance in all A-G subject areas beyond the minimum requirements. Number of and performance in UC-approved honors, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate Higher Level and transferable college courses.
At some campuses or divisions, choosing a major on application does not affect chances of getting into the campus or division, but allows for the possibility of direct admission to the major as a frosh (though it is possible to be rejected from the major but admitted to the campus as undeclared).

UCLA,UCB,UCSB and UCD have consistently admitted students on one day, although UCB and UCSB have offered early admission to a select group of applicants. However, on the UC website it says that admission by examination could make me eligible for admission even without having taken a fine arts course based on SAT, ACT and subject test scores.
