How FKEC is Prepared. FKEC’s comprehensive storm plan focuses on readiness, restoration and recovery. Prior to every storm season, FKEC conducts extensive training to prepare employees to respond quickly and safely after a storm.
FKEC is a member-owned, non-profit cooperative serving the Upper and Middle Keys from the county line to the Seven Mile Bridge with headquarters in Tavernier and Marathon, Florida. To submit plans for FKEC review, please complete the form below and attach the required drawings as a single PDF file.
Report Power Outages. Call (305) 852-2431 or (800) 858-8845 or text “Outage” to 45183 from a registered number (see Outage Texting below). If you are currently without power or see a hazardous condition involving power lines or equipment, call FKEC immediately. For emergency situations, call 911.
The purpose of the program is to encourage members to invest in decreasing their energy consumption to benefit the environment. FKEC offers rebates ranging from $25 to $500 with a maximum rebate of $500 per member per calendar year in order to extend participation to as many members as possible.
