I've owned a 488 GTB and driven a 488 Spyder, also drove both a 458 Italia and 458 Spyder. There is cowl shake in both the 488 and 458 convertibles, but less noticeable in the 488, but it's still there. That said, you only really notice it if you push the car, or when going over uneven surfaces (the bumpy road button helps, but not enough).

Ky1e Formula 3. Mar 4, 2011. 1,250. FL. #16 Feb 28, 2016. It's pretty hard to have less than $30K in options (race seats, shields, colored calipers, CF Driver zone, forged wheels, colored stitching, gets you to $30K). Throw in any other things like parking camera, alcantera, and you're at $40K and counting...
The thread starter asked about rolling acceleration between 488 and 296. My responds was simply answering his question objectively. With each gen the handling, breaking, weight improved. For example 488 is lighter than 458 and handles a lot better. 296 is quite light for a hybrid and will outhandle 458, 488, and F8.

I loved the pano roof in my 612 OTO so maybe a truly open top would be even more amazing. I think the 488 Spider is even more compelling. With 95% of the tortional ridigity of the GTB and only 0.4 seconds off the 1/4 mile, I am not sure what the selling point for the coupe is (except the absence of the visible engine in the rear - which is ...
USA. #6 Nov 29, 2018. vrsurgeon said: ↑. Nice to have you back! 458 and 488 are fluids once a year. Under $2k/yr. depreciation as above is another thing... might equal his porsche.. Actually from 2012 or 2013 model year on, maintenance is free for 7 years. So maintenance cost is zero.
The 458 and 488 as measured with a tape had about the same clearance at around 5 inches under the nose as I recall. The 458 had a totally flat underside. However the 488 had several narrow channels that ran parallel to the front and rear wheels that protruded downward an inch or so from the belly pan.
Yes, the OBD port on the F8 is up there, I think a little to the right of the steering wheel centerline. Once you know where it is, it’s easy to find by feel without looking, but not the first time. vicwest likes this. View more ferraris for sale.
