Murder of Biswajit Das. Biswajit Das was a 24-year-old tailor in Dhaka, Bangladesh, who was murdered on 9 December 2012 by members of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the governing Awami League party. [ 1] On that day there was a nationwide road blockade, called by the opposition 18 Party Alliance.
Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed was sentenced to death by hanging on 17 July 2013 [ 10] and hanged on 22 November 2015. [citation needed] Ghulam Azam was found guilty by the ICT on five counts. Incitement, conspiracy, planning, abetment and failure to prevent murder. He was sentenced on 15 July 2013 to 90 years of imprisonment.
