My school is not found when I try to search the rate my teacher site. I suppose this is good. At least no one has any complaints to register against me that I know of except the few who have brought them to me personally. I would hate to get a public flogging on one of these sites.

What is a good teacher though. My daughter had a lovely teacher, a kind and thoughtful guy who liked to be a friend to the kids. Due to family probs this guy left during her year GCSEs. She had done a year of work with him and was heartbroken. The new teacher was far stricter and basically told the kids their work was way below standard.

If an irate student started posting malicious or libellous comments on this website against a former or current teacher then they'd have to accept the responsibility of any consequences that could arise as a result (and I do agree with a previous poster that it could well up up in litigation).

    0. May 27, 2014. I think they're terrible. The Teacher Insight screener is far easier than the TeacherFit that I took for my dream district. It's pretty clear that the Gallup test wants you to say that you're just the best, most interesting, most patient, and innovative person that any of your friends know.

My daughter comes home from school and often moans about teachers. The ones she complains about are the useless ones who have no control over the class and have given up even trying to teach, they dish out work at the start of class and spend the rest of the lesson hiding behind their desk not bothered if the class do the work given or not.

We fluency test every Friday. My below level group has reading rates from 10 wpm to 30. My on level group has rates from 40-90. My above level group generally finishes the text in just a few seconds, so when I calculate it out, they could be reading about 150 words per minute at that level. terptoteacher, Jan 15, 2008.

My assessments are not frequent, probably 2-3 times a term but it makes up 90% of their grade. I scaffold the heck of the assessments. We do it in class, question by question, over the course of a week of so, we discuss the questions, I give them websites to research etc. and I think this what has really worked is I collect the assessments at ...

    forums.atozteacherstuff.com/index.php?threads/time-clocks.181789

It's expected you are on time. If you are running behind, you call. A time clock would actually result in my school losing work time among employees...I would not show up until required (currently show up 20 minutes early each day) and I'd punch out every day at end of contracted time (as opposed to staying 1/2 hour or more several days per week).
