Got my PS5 Pro on Walmart Canada. It's where I got my PS5 at launch. They are a bit slower on delivery but I got a pretty hectic first week of November so it's OK if it's a week late. It's saying delivery by November 18th. Rather have that than risk selling out.
Ok now I'm somewhat curious if the region locking is done on the disc drive or the console, because I wonder if you grab a disc drive from the USA for a European ps5 with the new model if you could use one disc drive for international movies from the USA and a European one on the console for European movies etc.

In the UK I bought a PS5 that came with a controller, and then separately bought a second controller from Amazon. One of my controllers got a broken spring. I don't know if it was the controller that came with the console or the one from Amazon, but I sent the broken one back to Amazon regardless, with no issue. Ignorance was bliss in my case!
Sold that ps5 yesterday so technically im like "over the entire generation ill only be spending $350 ish on hardware" Shoutout Walmart for that fuck up (I remember there's a couple other lucky people on this forum who lucked out with that)
As of right now you can buy a Xbox Series X/S via the Xbox All Access program from Walmart and Gamestop. I think if Sony had a All Access program for Playstation 5 it might easier to get a console. Edit: I think this program would make it easier for people to buy a PS5 console because of the bots and scalpers.
My Walmart has been shrinking the ps5 section as well. It's actually smaller than the Xbox space. I have a feeling physical copies for both platforms will be gone in the next year or two. Switch still has a decent shelf but it too is smaller than previous gens.
PS5 Slim has an MSRP of $500 and is now on sale for $450, so another $550 has been seen as unfathomable. The new $350 PSVR 2 price (Sony hasn't confirmed if this price is sticking around) shows that there's an appetite for VR gaming among PS5 console goers. Even if demand is stronger for the ps5 pro is stronger than it was for ps4 pro, which, y'know, unlikely given how much it costs, it should be available until launch imo. Last edited: Yesterday at 6:52 PM
