The tires currently on the car are Pirelli Cinturato P7 all seasons. They quoted me $1132 for the tires plus $95 for aligning them. I have read that the Michelin Premiere A/S are nearly the same tire, and Costco carries them with $129 off for $700 total. This seems like a no-brainer.
Costco has high quality tires and good prices, especially on sale. I have bought there before but found it inconvenient when getting tires rotated. Also, they do not do front end alignments which are often desired when buying new tires. I have found my dealership to be a good option. I can get tires rotated when getting regular service.

If you see you can buy the same tires at some local store like Discount Tire for $300 each, that would be $600 for two plus mounting and balancing which generally runs about $20/tire. Then add sales tax. So $650 to $700 would be reasonable. If you got two $500 tires for $800 you got a great deal.
Costco tires rep gave tough time - and at the end willing to replace only that single “worn out” tire (that too on prorated price). Costco seems to alternate sales very regularly between Michelin and Bridgestone. If the tires you want aren't on sale this month, check again next month. Sometimes the sale is a discount. Sometimes it's free installation. Sometimes it is both, but usually the discount value is smaller as an offset.
I purchased Michelin® DEFENDER 215/60R16 (Item #645921) couple days ago from costco.com for $461.82 inclusive of all taxes. This was when they were running a promotion for $130 off Michelin last week. I have not yet gotten it installed, and can cancel for full refund.
