Charles H. "Chuck" Taylor was born in rural Brown County, Indiana, on June 24, 1901.[1] Taylor, a graduate of Columbus High School in Columbus, Indiana, in 1919, played guard positionon the school's basketball team. He became captain of the varsity teamwhile a high school sophomore, and was also a two-time all-state team selection.
After Taylor's signature was added to the ankle patch as his endorsement, they became known as Chuck Taylor All Stars, the first celebrity-endorsed athletic shoe. The Sutton–Taylor feud began as a county law enforcement issue between relatives of a Texas state law agent, Creed Taylor, and a local law enforcement officer, William Sutton, in DeWitt County, Texas. The feud cost at least 35 lives and eventually included the outlaw John Wesley Hardin as one of its participants.

Charles Raymond Starkweather (November 24, 1938 – June 25, 1959) [2] was an American spree killer who murdered eleven people in Nebraska and Wyoming between November 1957 and January 1958, when he was nineteen years old. [3] He killed ten of his victims between January 21 and January 29, 1958, the date of his arrest.
