My Wallpaper Engine doesn't show some of the wallpapers. The selected wallpaper's sound still works, but the image/animation doesn't - it's just a black screen. What have I tried?: Reainstalling the app. Updating/Reinstalling my graphics drivers. Deleting/Changing to default my 3D graphics options in Nvidia Control Panel. Tried the CodecTweakTool.
Sometimes what happens is that because the signature of our .exe files changes, some antivirus apps freak out and they then consider the .exe a threat by mistake. For web wallpapers, this would result in a black screen. Try excluding these from any antivirus app and then try again: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine.

A Workshop Item for Wallpaper Engine. By: Niara. and it works fine except for it sometimes flashes black, at seemingly random intervals. Sometimes it can go around 30 mins without it happening, and other times it'll happen multiple times over the span of a minute or two. I'm using two monitors and a tv, each with the wallpaper applied.
No matter what until wallpaper engine is restarted, the background remains black. The only remedy I have found is to completely shut down and restart either my computer, or Wallpaper engine. Try to do a clean re-installation of your graphics card drivers, first uninstall your current ones and then install the latest ones. It's important you uninstall your current drivers first and purge all settings. Restart your PC afterwards and try again. Restart the PC and try playing the video.
