I recently made a large payment to bring the balance, but even after the payment cleared from my bank account, the Capital One consumer website says I have no available credit. I have not made any purchases since the payment was cleared. I will be calling in soon but would like to get your thoughts on this. Here is a screenshot: Good morning OP.

There are 2 payment options. standard (takes 7-10 days to process/affect your available credit) express payment (processes and affects available credit immediately) for $7.95. basically you are forced to do the express payment. and yes, you are limited to 4 payments in a 30 day period.

They are not easy to close, call the number on the back of you card and expect to take some time. Agreed. They'll try every persuasion in the book to try to get you to stay. Here is an example of some of the things that have happened. 1) Not allowed to use express pay, kept crashing the web page. Resolved by using standard pay. 2) "Your account has been temporarily." This one has happen 3x so far, only fix is to create a new online account.
