Recently he had switched to a quest 3 and lost a good portion of his competitiveness, a good part due to the worse tracking of the Quest 3 as he sees it. So I was thinking it might be worth to test Quest 2 controllers with the IR ring with the Quest 3 - if possible. So here I am.

Hi, I saw Oculus Quest 2 (headset only) at a very cheap price (USD 80) and I am considering purchase. I already have PSVR 2 so I do not need to play VR games. I only need it for viewing 360 video mainly youtube VR (stupid PSVR 2 has no video apps). It is possible to do so without controllers? Thanks.

Quest 2 controllers sip power honestly. Any off the shelf AA will last weeks or months for most people. I have some cheap rechargeables in mine and I honestly can't remember the last time I had to charge them. Couple months ago maybe, I don't play more than a few hours a week for the most part.
