I think the Better Exceptions mod itself is the corrupt mod. i’m slowly adding all my mods back. minus that one. no issues so far. but every time i put the Twisted Mexi script in my Mods folder everything goes haywire. and if i delete it, it’s still fucked. it’s too late. i have to empty the whole folder all over again.

Better exceptions is also detecting that there is an issue with brazenlotus' Mod Core and Zerbu's Changes to Existing Venues. These two mods have not yet been updated and may be the reason for a broken game. Till an update is out, you can deactivate them using the sims 4 mod manager or by deleting them from you mod folder.
Have you tried the Mod Conflict Detector or TwistedMexi's Better Exceptions? I know MCD is old and no longer updated but it may still help figure out which mod is causing the problem. Better Exceptions is more current but shows different information from MCD. If you can't figure out which mod is causing the problem, it's at least worth a try.

And even tell you if some CC is invalid and needs to be batch fixed on Sims 4 Studio or deleted. The CC has to be really bad to be detected tho. I have tons of CC that is invisible when I click it and I'm too lazy to hunt it down in my mods folder to remove, but that issue in CC isn't detected. Which is fine.
The Sims is in need of serious competition, deleting posts talking about competition is a bit ridiculous. So instead here's a video showcasing just how badly no competition has effected the series. These animations may be minor, but add soo much. Hopefully competition for The Sims 5 can remedy this.
