@madabanana Try a clean Sims 4 folder. Move the entire folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Enable mods and custom content, quit, download a fresh copy of one mod confirmed to be compatible with patch 1.73, and test it.

@emmalouisehill That sounds like one of the side effects of an outdated version of the UI Cheats mod.If you have it, please remove it, delete localthumbcache.package as well (also in your Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts), and see whether the game works normally.
If so, they may be interfering with UI Cheats Extension. Perhaps you could try testing the game with only the UI Cheats Extension mod. If you remove other mods / CC, you may also want to delete the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder before opening the game for testing.

If your game is crashing after a new patch and you have the UI Cheats Extension installed, get the latest version of the mod. I used to have this problem and found the cause was that the mod was outdated. The easiest way to know this specific mod is the problem is your Sims needs tab will be all messed up.
