yea the 2 hour limit is only for AUTOMATIC refunds, depending on where you are and the laws some countries Steam is legally obligated to give a refund for broken products regardless of their own policy. but anything else is as you said up to your agents discression. so long as you don't abuse asking for refunds for every single game that's remotely buggy they're usually pretty lenient to ...
The Steam refund policy is outlined here, and it looks like buyers can request refunds for games that: were purchased within the last two weeks of the request. have been played less than two hours. My question is: can you refund a game if you've played it for less than two hours, but purchased it over two weeks ago?
Sorry but in every other country except silly america. They have consumer protection laws that let people refund if the product even months after purchase fails to live up to standards. Imo steam needs to be taken to court again to make this policy fall in line with the rest of the developed worlds consumer protection laws.
Reply reply. eugene20. •. It used to be. "When you pre-purchase a title on Steam (and have paid for the title in advance), you can request a refund at any time prior to release of that title. The standard 14-day/two-hour refund period also applies, starting on the game’s release date". So the 14 day/two-hour limit didn't apply when playing ...

Steam, your refund policy is disappointing. TLDR: Steam refused to refund my friend's purchase of a game ($90) that he bought three days ago because it has 3 hours playtime instead of 2. This is disappointing and feels petty to me. More Details: This friend is a disabled veteran on a fixed income. A $90 purchase represents almost 10% of his ...
refund is for BROKEN games with so many technical issues (cyberpunk 2077 at launch) or games you didn't want to buy, but bought accidentally or games that you regret buying, you have 14 days, and under 2 hours of playtime to figure out if you like it or not. if a game sucks 1.5 hours in, it probably won't get any better. 4.
The refund policy allows you to refund a game if you've played under 2 hours and it's less than 14 days since it was bought. This applies to gifts too. In the case of a gift, while you can't refund the game yourself, you can make it possible for the purchaser who gave you the gift to get their money back.
