Once you look through an Athlon Midas Tac or Ares BTR it's very hard to actually want to use scopes with inferior glass. The Ares BTR Gen 2 4.5-27x50 is currently really cheap for everyone at $565 free shipping and free returns at Walmart online and Amazon for more money $607-$613 free shipping and free returns.
Optics In terms of optics, when talking to Vortex, they described them as basically being the same as Viper HD’s. There will be some differences, as the coatings required for the RF side of the bino is different, but overall, that is the expectation. I don’t have a set of Vipers, but I did compare them to my Sig 3k’s and my Zeiss FL’s.
Van isl. #1. May 23, 2021. #1. On the fence between a Nightforce NX8 4-32X50 and a Vortex razor hd 4.5-27x56. I've had lots of (positive) experience with Vortex but have yet to own a NF, this is going on my new .308 build. Leaning towards the NF after handling them both in person but I just can't get over the warranty Vortex provides, whereas ...
Apr 29, 2005. 4,278. 5,091. Winchester Virginia. Aug 31, 2020. #3. I signed up for the military/veteran discounts at NF and Vortex and I remember at the time there was language from both stating not to divulge how much the discount is, especially in an open forum. Buying through Vortex and NF though the discount is off of MSRP, not retail.
Looking at getting a new scope. Narrowed it down to an athlon Argos BTR gen2 6-24, a vortex venom 5-25, and an arken sh4 6-24. Anyone have experience with comparing any of these scopes? Is the athlon or vortex worth the extra $150-200 compared to the arken? Thanks.
Synoptic 12 said: Vortex, along with "all" the rest are "imported" (a few U.S. made optics left). Asia is the sole supplier of glass, namely China; even for the Germans. All pay for the name but all the components are basically the same. The coatings on the glass are what any pay for as this is where the costs lie.
Mystery Vortex Optics 1-10x LVPO Revealed - Soldier Systems Daily. This is a close hold LVPO from Vortex Optics. Although it has been in existence for quite awhile it was first publicly seen in leaked images of the Glock carbine in late September. This AMG model (American made) is a 1-10x and is shorter than their Razor model.
Guys, Trying to decide which optic to put on a Seekins SP10M 18” .308. I’ve narrowed down my choices to: Sig Tango6 3-18x44. Vortex Razor HD Gen2 3-18x50. Price isn’t really a major concern. I’m more concerned with which of these will be the highest quality and track the best. I was looking at the S&B Ultra Shorts but I’m not a fan of ...
The Vortex Impact 4000 GB is able to connect to other BT enabled devices like the Kestrel meter; however, it is a one way connection, meaning that the Kestrel can only send wind (optionally atmospherics as well) but the Impact 4000 does not send range, direction or angle of inclination data to the Kestrel.
The Vortex Optics Rifle-Eros Rifle Match will consist of 8 total stages with 4 medium(ish) courses of fire and 4 long courses of fire.
