Visa requirements for Bahamian citizens are administrative entry restrictions by the authorities of other states placed on citizens of The Bahamas.As of February 22nd 2024, Bahamian citizens have visa-free or visa on arrival access to 156 countries and territories, ranking the Bahamian passport 27th in terms of travel freedom according to the Henley Passport Index.
The Bahamian passport is issued to citizens of the Bahamas for international travel. As of March 2019, Bahamian citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 154 countries and territories, ranking the Bahamian passport 26th in terms of travel freedom according to the Henley visa restrictions index.
Passport validity is the length of time a passport can be used to travel to another country, or be used as a valid form of identification within or outside the issuing country before its date of expiration.
1 – 8 months for citizens of Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, 3 months for other citizens. 2 - 8 months. 3 – 8 months, 3 months for U.S. citizens or nationals residing in Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
All visitors from VWP countries must hold a biometric passport. [ 6 ] All travelers must have individual passports. It is not acceptable (for the VWP) for children to be included on a parent's passport. In addition to a Bahamian passport, applicants 14 years of age or older must present a police certificate issued by the Royal Bahamas Police Force in the previous six months indicating no criminal record. [ 14 ]
