Yesterday, Roblox announced that they were planning to make their asset ID generation non-sequential. If Roblox moves forward with this, many developers relying on the “subtract ID until image ID” method will find that their conversion will no longer work. And, in PeZsmistic words, that method is hideous at this scale.
I am trying to download Images and Decals through Roblox’s API using methods in this DevForum topic. It appears that none of the methods are working for downloading an asset with an Image ID by using a web browser and entering these URLs with the specified ID. Roblox prevents you from running animations you don’t own in Roblox Studio (for security reasons). It will work normally in game as you said. (And yes even if the animation is public, you still won’t be able to run it in studio)
I had to copy and paste every single Animation ID for every Animation pack. And because I want to spare other people the effort, here are the IDs. I put it in a .txt file for now. to use a bunch of Roblox APIs to get that data. You’d need to get the amount of players on Roblox and get player information about the user with the newest user ID (that being the amount of users on Roblox, because Roblox adds 1 ti the ID every time someone makes an account). 2 Likes.
The way I import characters no matter if R6 or R15 is by using the Players:CreateHumanoidModelFromUserId code in the command bar. It would look something like this: game.Players:CreateHumanoidModelFromUserId(INSERT USERID HERE).Parent = workspace. Not sure if that’s been covered yet but this always worked for me so far.
