No matter what I do I cannot auto start Thunderbird with Windows 10. I tried every known start location, Start Folder, registry, Task Scheduler, Startup Delayer, Autorun Organizer, even wrote a batch file to start Thunderbird and use that instead of the actual executable. I can manually run Thunderbird without any issues.

Why is Thunderbird so unbelievably slow in Windows 10? Especially when using drag/drop to move an email to a folder, and when deleting more than one email. I get a message that the program is not responding, and after a while it's back to functioning. It's so slow I have to do something else for a few minutes while Thunderbird does it's thing.
Click on the Windows button and enter %temp% into the Run or Search field displayed. That should open a Windows Explorer window displaying the contents of the Windows Temp directory. At a minimum, delete any files that have names referring to Mozilla or Thunderbird.
If the icon is missing, create a shortcut on the desktop to C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe, and move or copy the shortcut to the Startup folder. Alternatively, you can create a task in Windows Task Scheduler to start Thunderbird at system startup, but it's easier to use the Startup folder.

Hi, I'm with the same problem where. Clean install of Windows 10 Pro (17134) and installed Thunderbird 52.8.0 and when I open the application just freeze. Tried to open in the safe mode and the problem remains. I tried to install a posterior version and the same problem. I also tried with a beta version (60.0b7) and the application works.
Now, this works for most programs, but Thunderbird seems to not work properly. What I've done to make it work is double-clicked the title bar of the thunderbird window to change it from maximized state to a smaller window. To make it LOOK maximized, I then adjust the window until it appears to be fully maximized.

I am running Windows 10 / Thunderbird v89.0b3 but I've had a problem since about Thunderbird v88 beta. I have a dinosaur's attitude to the interconnected world (and my own personal data security within it) and do not expect to have things like my e-mails available on every device I use.
