2027 posts · Joined 2016. #1 · Sep 20, 2018. im seriously contemplating getting a rubicon transfer case for my sport, but is it really worth the $1000? going from the gearing calculator, at idle in low range (900ish rpms), my 2.72 case with 4.46 first gear and 4.88 diff gears puts me at 1.8 mph. with the rubi case, it puts me at 1.2 mph.
Dustdevil. 1715 posts · Joined 2014. #4 · Feb 25, 2016. Don't know where you live, but $16k is a bit much for an 06 TJR with 100k on the clock. I paid that for my Unlimited Rubicon with manual, cruise, and hardtop, and it had 76k miles. In California. It's likely worth an average of $12-13k.

I found a 'new'ish one for $2,500 from JB Conversions JB Conversions, Inc. I also found one used through a salvage yard with 58k miles on it for $1,400.
