  3. RIP SeatGuru... - Rick Steves Travel Forum

    community.ricksteves.com/.../transportation/rip-seatguru

1208 posts. Thanks for sharing the official word about Seatguru. Just checked Seatmaps for a seat I just sat in, and their data is incorrect (AF777-300, 4-class, 39C) for that seat. AF wishes those seats were 18" wide, and for 39C the pitch is about 6 feet, as it's an exit row. Seatmaps lists it at 32", which they say is the pitch for all of ...

I know there is an old 2022 thread about this but I thought I would bubble it up to the top as SeatGuru info is Very Out of Date now. And there is nothing to indicate that on their website. I only noticed it as it was missing a particular plane for a carrier I wanted to check out the seat chart prior to possibly buying a ticket on that flight.

  5. Lufthansa Business Class--which aircraft type - Rick Steves

    community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/transportation/...

The aircraft is an Airbus 330-300. I do not want to have this limitation on Business class again. My question is which aircraft type operated by Lufthansa do have lie-flat beds. Just finding out which type of aircraft is being used for a flight is cumbersome. Not sure how you then find out whether the lie-flat beds are available.

Sacramento, California U.S.A. 10/20/21 12:34 PM. 10553 posts. When I looked at my United account they show the Aer Lingus confirmation code. I was able to see the seating chart and the seat reservation costs in each section. Since our flight isn’t until August there is no rush to select seats.

  7. Airbus 350-900 business class seats - Rick Steves Travel Forum

Posted by geodavky on 02/13/24 01:25 PM. The Airbus 350-900 business class seats have 6 across. They are angled towards sides of the plane or angled in towards the center if you are in the middle section. I’m traveling by myself and wonder which seat to choose. In the center section it looks like you are a bit more separated from your seat mate.

  8. Which plane is better: A380 versus 777 - Rick Steves

    community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/general-europe/which...

However, in comparing airlines, while Emirate's 777 economy seat width is 17.0 inches, Delta's 777-200ER's seat width is reported to be 18.5 inches. The conclusion could be, for wide bodies, an Emirate A380 is better than an Emirate 777, but a Delta 777 is better than and emirate A380. Hello Jeff.

Get ready for premium economy. Jump to bottom. Posted by phred (Los Angeles) on 10/04/21 02:46 PM. According to Businessweek, there's gold in them thar seats. More so than business. Slightly wider seats, more legroom, deeper recline, bigger screens, somewhat better food.

  10. Delta Premium Select seating questions. - Rick Steves

    community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/transportation/delta...

The only seats that I know of that don't have the usual recline are often found in and around exit row seating. You also find no recline in the last row of the economy cabin. Delta is usually pretty good about indicating limited recline when selecting a seat, so I hope it would indicate so.

  11. Anyone else use Seat Guru? - Rick Steves Travel Forum

    community.ricksteves.com/.../anyone-else-use-seat-guru

682 posts. Seatguru has helped me tremendously for many years. I typically use it first to get an idea of what type of aircraft is being used and second to evaluate what seats it identifies as potential issues. Any resources that provide information geared toward making my flight comfortable is greatly appreciated.
