Hello! I own a Anycubic Mega Pro. I purchased this 3d printer and was very excited to use it. Not only did I buy it for the printing properties, it has the ability to laser engrave. It has an adaptable 1500mW laser that is a simple plug and play. There were crystal clear instructions for the printing part, but no one had made or discovered software that fit with the laser. The hardest part ...
New to laser engraving. Just bought an Atomstack A5 Pro and downloaded the lightburn trial software. As I started the process to purchase, there was a note asking that I make sure I am purchasing the appropriate software. Could someone please confirm the program I require with my laser. Thanks
Deep engraving requires vaporizing a large amount of material, which requires either lots of power (CO₂ laser = spendy & fast) or lots of time (diode laser = cheap & slow). The material determines the resolution and appearance of the result, as well as how much cleanup you’ll be doing to make the thing look presentable.
LightBurn Software Questions. For all you newbies out there with a diode laser, I have made a step-by-step guide on creating a power scale to dial in your engraving burns. The point is, if you want your engraving to go line by line with no gaps and no overburn, the setting for the DPI/Line interval is a specific number that can only be derived by knowing what size dot your laser is laying down. If I know my dot size is 1/2" then my DPI is 2 and my line interval is 1/2". BUT, LB specifies the line interval in mm ...
