[1] It is owned by East Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries, which also owns two other Sacramento area cemeteries. [2] Founded in 1904, it is the resting place of several former Mayors of Sacramento as well as other public figures.
The Sacramento County Hospital was established as a result, in 1852. In 1871, the hospital was moved to a 22-acre (8.9 ha) parcel of land on Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento, California (the present location of UC Davis Medical Center). Just five years later, the original facility was destroyed by fire.

The 19,564-acre (7,917 ha) park was established in 1956 [2] after the creation of the Folsom Dam. Folsom Lake is the ninth largest reservoir in California and a major recreational asset for the Sacramento area. [3] It consists of two reservoirs: Folsom and Natoma. About 2 million people visit the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area every year.
