   TLDR: It’s like peacocking, showing off, being flashy. Luxury bags are just expensive decorations like jewelry. The material/quality/effort of manufacture does not justify the cost. Their only purpose is to be a red flag that says “look I have enough money I can waste $20k on this ugly bag”.

   Birkin bags (especially back then) had very limited availability and were rather hard to get. Wish people would do some research on the bag before slating the price immediately.
