So they do have incentive to sell Steam version. You can get uplay keys easily for -50% even before release. The reason to ever get it on another launcher is there are usually crazy deals with Ubisoft games (they make money with DLC and MTX on both multiplayer and single player parts of games), and those deals usually happen at the same time Ubisoft have a deal on those games too so they stack making them even cheaper.
