Run the Steam VR Performance test before downloading any Steam VR titles. Even games that seem like they shouldn't be that intensive may struggle because VR isn't necessarily easy to run. There is also a free streaming app called ALVR which can be downloaded via sidequest. Trying to run PCVR with a GTX 570 loool.
In the PC Oculus App, it says "No headset audio" when I go to the Devices tab. I've checked/tried: - Seeing if the Oculus Headset is disabled in the windows sound control panel (it's not even there) - Going to device manager and clicking "scan for hardware changes" (does nothing) - Going to the oculus app > devices > quest 2 > device setup ...
It is possible. You need to use the Developer Mode on the Oculus software in "Beta-Version" tab in the Settings. Also you need to activate the developer mode on the quest 2 via app in "Device Settings". Developer mode can only be activated via Developer account. After that it should work but be aware you providing now data to the OpenXR runtime.

Apparently over the course of many years dozens of people have hit this brick wall with no response from Oculus aside from "reinstall windows." This in my opinion is a ridiculous response or resolution. So I applied some of my background in windows server management and software development , creating a quick step-by-step guide on installing ...
Inside the Oculus App, change the audio settings to - Quest 2 Mic Quest 2 Headphones Enabled "Hear VR Audio from Computer" Enabled "Hear Computer Audio in VR" Inside windows desktop audio settings - change default device to Realtek Digital Output. After you set all these settings, POWER OFF the Oculus and the PC APP and restart.
The oculus app seems to tank my performance by a serious amount, and I'd like a way to run link without using that app, or being able to close it after starting it. I run everything through SteamVR anyways, and all my games and apps are on there. I literally just use the oculus app as a portal to SteamVR.
The Adreno 650, the gpu inside the Quest 2's XR2 SoC, has 3% of the processing power of a RTX 3090, but I guess the 3090 may use like 100 times more watts, lol. In short, Quest 2 uses a phone gpu, comparing it to high-end PCVR gpus is like comparing phone games to high-end PC games. The difference is beyond massive. When connected to PC, Quest ...
Rift and Quest applications are sold independently in their respective stores. The applications on the PC app are for the Rift platform, and will require Oculus Link to use with the Quest 2. Some applications are an exception to this rule, though. These are our Cross-buy experiences, which can be played on both the Rift or the Quest platforms ...
SOLVED. I have a oculus quest 2 and was trying to play games through the link cable, but when I set up the app, it says my pc doesn't meet the minimum spec requirements, even though it does, i have a r7 3800x, and a 3060ti and 16 gb of ram. I've tried everything I could find on the support page and older strands, does anyone have any fixes.
