scroll to the bottom -> customize -> reversi. Reversi Skin, is dark mode. If you scroll all the way down, it is one of the options doe skins to use. Like others have said, the site skin called Reversi is the easiest way to get dark mode on AO3. FYI you can find aswers to similar questions using a search engine (google, duckduckgo etc.).

Just so you know, if you go to My Site Skins -> Create Site Skin -> Use Wizard, you can enter your own colors for Background Color, Text Color, Header Color, and Accent Color, and AO3 will generate a skin for you! Simply Twilling is what I use. Very easy on the eyes and the little lines help me concentrate.
These are the colors I did: COLOR_LIKED = '#054019'; COLOR_DISLIKED = '#630606'; COLOR_MARKED = '#080000'; COLOR_INLIBRARY = '#383737'; (this color just matches the dark mode background, I basically use it for my clear button) Disclaimer: Proceed with caution and only modify the specified portion of the code. There is a dark mode for the whole web you can turn on, any page is in dark mode. It’s inverting of stuff is really good, and only occasionally inverts a pic badly.
