Twitter was causing me to dislike people I never met and dislike people who were actually my friends so I just deleted my account, which I realize now left my action open to many interpretations. ~Sam Harris. Elon Musk and Sam Harris both spent too much time on Twitter and they both think wokeness is this huge societal problem, almost certainly because they see it on Twitter. I'm curious if Sam's position on wokeness will change now that he's quit Twitter. Twitter isn't real, it and social media are cancers on society.
Sam? Pro-Trump? I don't know about that. Even someone so evidently oblivious as Saad could not have possibly mistaken Sam for ever being pro-Trump IMO. I don't think there's one person Sam feels more personal contempt in the universe than Trump, and he's made his disgust crystal clear since 2015.

5meoz • 9 mo. ago. Sam like many ultra progressives while portraying a namaste facade of calmness (he sells meditation apps), in reality underneath he is full of anger, fear, rage, bitterness, etc. It is interesting to see that a big endorser of his app Stephen Fry just deleted his Twitter too.
Sam has a funny way of comparing really really really bad things to just really really bad things when he does hypotheticals and analogies. He might say something like “I would rape 10 women every time rather than murder 100 children”.
Regarding 2, you don't understand meditation. A person who has achieved complete enlightenment is not participating in normal life. Sam doesn't claim to be a Buddha and doesn't aim to be one. He wants to employ meditative practices to achieve a reduction of suffering and thereby an increase in well-being.
