SONY sucks for no doing this themselves this is a long shot, sorry for necroing i hate the touch controls for volume, and it's always disabled. but whenever i switch between devices, the volume level is retained. and i have to go back to my mobile device to adjust the volume. windows volume is maxed to the level retained in the headphones.

If you plug in the cable, you're no longer using the Bluetooth connection, but the mic in the headset still works, so does the noise canceling. In fact the noise reduction seems even better in my experience. But, the sound quality via cable is not quite as good as without.
