In the US, you can put a full-length stock on a Ranch Hand so long as you pay the tax and do the SBR paperwork. However, once you do that, changing it back becomes a problem as it's now registered as a rifle and rifle receivers cannot be used to make handguns. Putting a full-length stock on a Ranch Hand in Canada isn't a problem. jtg452 and Rossi.

Rossi ranch hand - malfunction - very disappointed. We've been to the range with the Ranch Hand a total of four times. We put 50 rounds through it on the previous three occasions. Today we put 25 rounds through it. I operated the lever and ejected the last of 5 spent shelves. So far all normal.

What's the difference - Rossi Ranch Hand in 45 Colt and the "New" 45 Long Colt? I noticed that the Rossi web site now lists the Ranch Hand in 45 Long Colt as new. You should be able to get one, have it cut down to slightly longer than the stock Ranch Hand length, and then threaded. Student of the ancient Chinese art of Bang Pow.

Since then traded it off for a tracker 44 which cost more so I felt I was getting a great trade. I have now really been missing the little Rossi 44 mag hand cannon. So I went to academy this morning to buy another.
