Hi, I know this is possible, but forgotten how to do it. I want Excel to stop opening book1.xls when I open another workbooks. Why does Excel open a blank book1.xls also? When I open a workbook by double clicking the workbook in a directory, Excel opens a blank workbook named Book1.xls.
If you mean that it starts up with Book2 rather than Book1 that could be because you have another instance of Excel still open (even invisibly) or you earlier had one that crashed. Bill Manville.
