It's pretty much the only thing I listen to (80s Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, etc.), so I'm looking for something that hits harder on very short bass notes/fast double kick drum sections. I'm also more concerned with sound quality, as opposed to being just flat out loud. Probably something around 250-300W total RMS , 10", for roughly $200.

#2.) P/F made clunk sound, replacement fixed it #3.) P/R makes rattle sound like D/F. (Haven't bothered with yet as it's not as bad as D/F was) And in the case of #1 & #3, the rattling *definitely* resonates via the top of the strut. I'm about 99% sure it's something to do w/ the strut mount. (quality or assembly).
Trimmed the front door panels, and installed 5 1/4" Infinity's in place of the 4" - same speaker only bigger. BIG BIG difference! So, for anyone who's looking to upgrade - I'm now having excellent results with factory rear's and Infinity Reference 5 1/4" fronts, no amp. Ramblin Fever. 01-05-2007, 12:38 AM.
Swapped engine from another car. The knocking sound is GONE. Finally! But an original sound remains. Sounds like a bunch of marbles being rattled around around the driver side of the engine bay. It's definitely the exhaust/transmission, but I can't determine where/how. Any ideas?

There is a another small wire that connects to the headunits auto turnon wire and the amps turn on terminal, it will turn the amp on and off with the radio. A good 75 watt X 4 amp should be enough to power 2 speakers in the door and 2 speakers in the back. Be aware that 6X9's or 6 1/2's will not have much bass.
That is a long time. This is a drain and fill operation. I got my Auto-Trak fluid from an AC Delco Parts store but I guess you can also get it from a dealer. I bought 3 qts but it ended up only using 2 qts. I used one of those pumps that you can buy at an Auto Parts store and pumped it right out of the Auto Trak bottle. //2000CAYukon
03-09-2007, 09:57 PM. '99 Lumina LTZ 3.8 L V6. 186,000 miles. Runs well most of the time. However, sometimes when it is started, it surges and jerks. If I rev it a few times, it goes away. I noticed a sound under the hood of air when this happens. I finally caught it with the hood open before it went away.
