Apr 9, 2020. #6. the most accurate is an ultrasonic fuel tank sender. they are pricey, and generally not needed for any consumer application. however any of the commercially available senders (either swing arm or float) from rockford gauge, wema, Veethree, Cobo, etc. will work just fine.

One trick I use if you can remove the fuel guage sending unit is attach a stick of copper tubing to the pump. Place the tube in the low spot of the tank and you will pick up ALL the crud in the tank at the same time.
