Senate internships offer an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain exposure to the daily operations of a Senate office, develop professional skills, and build their network on Capitol Hill.
The following states are represented by Democrats in the United States Senate. Most offices have spring, summer, and fall semesters of interns. Please check in with each office for deadlines and application requirements.
SAA Internships are paid, non-partisan, business operations positions designed to challenge and reward a select number of college students to work at the SAA on Capitol Hill and surrounding areas. Internships can start as early as Monday, May 6, 2024 and can last until Friday, August 30, 2024 .
Interested candidates should apply by visiting Senator Cassidy’s website at https://www.cassidy.senate.gov/helping-you/internships. The internship will run from January to May.

In-person internships are available in Senator Warner’s Washington, D.C. and Virginia offices year round. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their first year of college and who reside in Virginia or attend college in state.
