Syncrowave. Mar 22, 2014. #1. Was at a gun show recently and saw these "TulAmmo" large rifle primers for $20/1000. I almost walked right by, when the guy next to me grabbed two bricks. I asked him how they work, and he said he can't tell any difference between them and any other primer as far as consistency goes. He claimed they were made by Wolf.

Gold $$ Contributor. May 16, 2022. #28. Ginex is a good primer producer, both small and large, and they are hard to seat, but give small sd numbers on my loads. They are the ones I can source right now (maybe because they are the closest factory to me lol, like 120 miles). PPU uses their primers in production.

Dec 10, 2020. #8. I saw this on GM210M large rifle primers that I first opened in March 2020. I queried Federal about the red dye and got the following response: “The red is actually a latex that burns up immediately upon ignition.

  10. Large rifle to small rifle primer bushing? - Shooters' Forum

    forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/large-rifle-to-small-rifle-primer-bushing...

mao0720. May 20, 2014. #1. I started reloading for a 6.5 grendel recently and some of the cheap brass out there for it has a large rifle primer. It got me thinking, could someone manufacture a small brass or steel bushing that would fit into a large rifle primer pocket and allow the use of small primers?

  11. .243 primer question - Shooters' Forum

    forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/243-primer-question.3971063

You can use ANY Large Rifle primer in the 243win, Magnum or standard. Work up the loads accordingly. If you have a 243win load that's at MAX and you want to change primers, I would back it off a little and re-test with new primers. Otherwise there is no problem using magnum primers.
